ABOUT THE CLIENT
Convo Coffee House (also known as Conversation Coffee House) was a new coffee shop based in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, NV. It is a family-owned business that started in 2021 by the owner, Elizabeth “Liz” Fulks.
ABOUT OUR WORK
The client requested a logo and website for the business. The client wanted something family-friendly looking, inviting, coffee-related, but also have something related to “conversations”. This was important to the owners since the coffee shop was meant to be a place where people can converse with one another over a cup of coffee and connect with one another.
PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS
One main challenge of the business was that there are so many coffee shops in Las Vegas already. It was going to be a challenge to stand out amongst the competition.
Also, there needed to be a way for Convo Coffee House to stand out against major coffee chains. This is important because there are many prominent coffee shop chains in Las Vegas.
HOW CNCTD DESIGNS TACKLED THIS PROJECT
The area in which Convo Coffee House would be operating did not have many coffee shops in its vicinity, and any other major coffee shops that would serve as. competition were far enough away to not take away major business from the client.
Elizabeth had an idea of who their target audience would be and wanted the visuals to be appealing to that type of audience. Elizabeth wanted families, groups of friends, and service members of the community (first responders, teachers, educators, etc.) to be a part of their regular patronage.
ADDRESSING THE CHALLENGES
In order to address these wants form the client, what CNCTD Designs did was research other family-friendly, community-based coffee shops, take ideas from their visuals, and incorporate those visual ideas into the Convo Coffee Shop image. We created a few logo concepts and based the final logo on a combination of the initial concepts created.
FROM CONCEPT TO IMPLEMENTATION
The main logo combines a few concepts:
An overhead view of a coffee cup
Coffee liquid in the shape of a speech bubble
Latte art in the shape of
There is a main logo as well as complimentary, secondary logos that are used for different seasons and add a splash of variety for the business.
As the client continued to conduct business, it was clear that they wanted to make sure their branding matched the current season. This prevents the theme from being monotonous since many of the drinks look the same.
DELIVERABLES
The main color scheme would be a creamy, coffee-like brown color.

Convo Coffee House has maintained a 4.9/5 review on Google with over 100+ reviews since September 2023.
CNCTD DESIGN'S GROWTH & IMPROVEMENTS
Working on this project showed us how important it was to stand out from the crowd and that there are many creative possibilities when creating ideas and concepts for large industry such as coffee shops based in the United States.
